Warranties
All items are warranted directly by the manufacturers. No other warranty, either expressed or implied, is offered by Finishes 1st.
Shipping
We have excellent pricing from all of our shipping companies, and you can be sure we will ship by the least expensive way. Shipping, for us, is not a profit center. We believe what you are paying for are our products and service, nothing else. For larger shipments, we ship via USF Reddaway or USF Holland; for smaller shipments, we ship via UPS, Greyhound, the postal service, and several other courier companies, depending on your destination. Our shipping policy is that all products leave the warehouse within 3 days of receiving an order. Delivery time will vary according to the shipping destination. Additional shipping time may be needed if being shipped over the holiday season or for very large orders. If you need a rush delivery, please contact us prior to placing the order and we will work with you to offer the best shipping time and cost.
Returns
Finishes 1st offers a return period of 14 days from the date of customer receipt of product. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking charge if the product is returned for reasons other than being damaged or defective. A refund will be credited back to you, less shipping, any brokerage (if applicable), and restocking charges. To return a product, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required. All returns must be complete in the original packaging and resalable. Translucent Stains and Custom Colours may not be returned. We reserve the right to refuse a return that does not conform to these standards. To obtain an RMA number, please email us at: info@finishes1st.com and be sure to provide the original invoice number, the product being returned, and the reason for the return. The RMA number must appear clearly on the outside of the shipping package and on a copy of your invoice enclosed within the package.
Freight Damage
All products are shipped FOB our shipping dock. Damaged and missing items resulting from handling by the shipping company are the responsibility of the customer to follow up on, and must be claimed by the customer with the shipping company. Check for missing or damaged pails and boxes upon receipt and record the information on the waybill. For any damaged pails or boxes you notice after the driver has left, call the shipping company and they will advise you on how to fill out a claim. Finishes 1st is not responsible for any damage caused by the shipping company.
Payment
We accept PayPal transactions and cheques. Cancellation of an order must be received by us via email prior to shipping the product to avoid shipping, handling and freight charges. Shipping, handling and freight charges will be charged if the product is shipped prior to receiving your cancellation, as well as a 15% restocking charge upon return.
