Caulking and chinking are two products that will help to protect the wood in a home, as well as lower the monthly heating bill. To accomplish these objectives, they must:

• Be Flexible: The logs of the home will shrink to some degree initially, causing checking and twisting. After the initial shrinking process, the home will continue to expand and contract with the seasons. Our products offer maximum flexibility, ensuring the home remains weather tight and energy efficient.

• Bond Well: While all good quality sealants should bond well, it is important that they maintain that bond over the years. Our products can be applied to both wet and dry logs, and will provide a long term seal.
• Withstand the Elements: Timber Edge’s sealants have been designed to offer maximum protection against the elements, such as UV, rain and snow, which will break down lower quality sealants.
  
  
• Have Endurance: Our products create a permanent weather tight seal, eliminating the need to spend money on a regular basis as would be the case with inferior sealants.
  
  
• Have Ease of Application: Sealants are not rocket science! However, they can be labor intensive to apply and require the correct tools. Of all the sealants available today, our products are by far the easiest to apply, either by the applicator or the homeowner. In addition to ease of application, clean up can be done in minutes with just soap and water.
